2017 MJCCBA INTERCOLLEGIATE JAZZ BAND
The MJCCBA Intercollegiate Jazz Band will continue to take place every year. During years where MJCCBA is also participating in the statewide Concert Band clinic, the Jazz Band Clinic will be held at the same location, during the same time. Therefore, all the details shown above for the March 23-25 clinic also apply for the 2017 MJCCBA Intercollegiate Jazz Band. Unfortunately, because these clinics run at the same time, it will not be possible for a student to participate in both the Jazz and Concert Band clinics during these "dual" years.
We are excited to announce that this year's (2017) clinician for the Jazz Band will be Bart Marantz!
Please watch this space for further details regarding lodging, auditions, etc.

2016 MJCCBA INTERCOLLEGIATE JAZZ BAND
The first annual MJCCBA Jazz Band clinic was held April 1st and 2nd at Pearl River Community College in the beautiful Brownstone Center for Performing Arts. The band worked hard for two days under the instruction of clinician Dr. Bret Pimentel from Delta State University getting ready for their concert Saturday afternoon. The PRCC Jazz Cats opened the concert with a great set, and then the honor band played an excellent set as well.
Here are some pictures of the honor band in rehearsal, and the Brownstone Center. Down below the pictures, you can read the roster of this year's student musicians.
